Prunus Lusitanica - Portuguese Laurel are fantastic laurels that are a great alternative to the classic cherry Laurel. They are more formal in appearance with their dark green, medium-sized pointed foliage set against red stems. They are slower growing, you would get 1-2ft of growth a year. A lot tougher than the cherry laurel and can withstand exposed sites, perfect for the North of the country.
